This installment will go into more depth on B vitamins as an example of a biochemical network in
building and maintaining your health. In fact, we often refer to these
as B complex vitamins to emphasize their interactions and
interdependence.
Many of the B vitamins were discovered and eventually isolated during the first half of the 1900's. They include B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 pantothenic acid, B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cobalamin), folic acid or folate, and biotin.
